Dental Implants

A dental implant is recommended as a treatment option to replace a missing tooth or multiple teeth. The titanium implant which is placed in the jawbone, acting as a root to support the restoration such as a crown, bridge or denture.

Before dental implants can be placed, procedures to recreate gum and bone which has been lost around teeth (regeneration) may need to be carried out. A series of visits are required for dental implant treatment, the first step is a consultation with Dr Richard Horwitz, Periodontist as he places the implants and Dr Linda Greenwall, who prepares and fit the restorations.

Throughout the series of visits and following the initial treatment, assessments with Dr Horwitz and regular dental hygiene visits are required to help maintain the gum and bone around the implants.
