What to expect from whitening
This patient had mild tetracycline darkening of the enamel. We carried out 8 weeks for upper and lower home whitening, to achieve these excellent results. The patient has maintained the shade 10 years on by topping up with two- three night of bleaching.
Advanced discolouration: before and after
This patient was referred to me as every tooth was a different shade. We started by carrying out advanced home whitening for 6 weeks then internal bleaching on the darker teeth where the nerve had died. These teeth was also bleached on the outside to get them to match the rest of the teeth.
Advanced bleaching due to mottling: Case 1
This patient was referred to me due to the white and brown mottling. We started by upper and lower at home bleaching for 8 weeks. We waited two weeks for the shade to settle then carried out a procedure called microabrasion where a special bleaching material is polished onto the white and brown to help fade and eradicate the mottling. The whole treatment process from start to finish took 4 months.
Advanced bleaching due to mottling: Case 2
I have been treating this patient since he was a baby and as a keen rugby player has had many knocks to his teeth. This has resulted in numerous root canals and internal bleaching. We carried out the root canal first and started the internal bleaching, the patient then carried out upper and lower at home bleaching for a couple of weeks so that shade matches.
